A jury has found a former panhandle teacher not guilty on a charge 1st Degree Sexual Assault. 37-year-old Richard Cobos was accused of sexually assaulting a nine-year-old girl stemming from an April, 2009 incident.

The trial lasted two days, but there was not enough evidence to find Cobos guilty on that charge. However, Cobos was convicted last month of 3rd Degree Sexual Assault of a Child in Scotts Bluff County.

Cobos is set to be sentenced on June 4th, and is facing up to five years in prison.
