A former teacher accused of having a sexual relationship with a student has been arrested.
Ernesto Montemayor, 56, has been charged with two counts of improper relations with a student and five counts of sexual assault of a child.
Montemayor, a retired gunnery sergeant from the United States Marine Corps., was an ROTC instructor at Pasadena High School. He was hired in August 2009.
He has been accused of having a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old student for about three months in 2010.
Montemayor resigned from his position in February 2011.
On Monday, deputies in Bexar County said a Pasadena Independent School District officer contacted them and told them that Montemayor was in their jurisdiction.
Deputies went to home in the 400 block of Resurrection in San Antonio and arrested Montemayor without incident.
Deputies said that Montemayor moved to Corpus Christi after leaving Pasadena, but he had recently been staying with his daughter in San Antonio.
