San Antonio teacher accused of sex with male student

A former teacher was arrested on a warrant for sexual assault of a child, according to the arrest warrant.

Maris Gonzalez, 23, was arrested Friday after she was caught in a car engaging in a sex act with a 15-year-old boy.

The arrest warrant states an officer was responding to a burglar alarm in the area of Raintree Bend and Raintree Run when he noticed a car with the window’s fogged up.

Gonzalez told the officer she had recently resigned as a teacher at a school due to being accused of an inappropriate relationship with the teen, according to the arrest warrant.

A NEISD spokesperson confirmed she was a former French teacher at Madison and Churchill High School. The spokesperson confirmed allegations were brought forth after inappropriate messages were found on the teen’s phone. Gonzalez denied a relationship with the teen and said it was just texting.

The spokesperson confirmed the teacher was placed on administrative leave and later resigned on December 9.

She later admitted to officer’s to being involved in sexual intercourse with the teen for the past few weeks, according to the arrest warrant.

Sexual assault of a child is a felony offense.
