A Ralston elementary instructor who specializes in working with high ability learners has been booked on felony charges of sexual assault of a child.
Nick Richter, 58, works as a specialized teacher at Seymour Elementary in Ralston.
He was booked into the Douglas County Jail on Thursday afternoon.
The official charge is third degree sexual assault of a child.
By Nebraska statute, the accusation of third degree indicates there wasn’t serious personal injury to the victim.
We don’t have details on who the alleged victim is or if it happened at school.
The Ralston police reports have not yet been reviewed by the county attorney.
Richter could go before a judge as early as Friday.
