A teacher was suspended from service on Monday for fracturing an arm of a minor student for not learning the lesson by heart.
Amir, an eight-year-old student of the Government Boys School, Chak 14-JB, was brutally tortured by his teacher Mohammad Nazir for not memorising the lesson. As a result, Amir’s arm was fractured and he was rushed to the local DHQ Hospital where he was under treatment.
On receiving the torture complaint, Education Executive District Officer Ashraf Ali suspended the teacher and the headmaster of the school and ordered the district education officer concerned to conduct an inquiry into the matter.
