Richland High School Special Education teacher is in custody accused of molesting one of his students.
Court documents reveal Michael Diaz, 31, started the relationship through messages in a journal the victim used for school work.
The Richland School District spokesperson says the district has placed Diaz, Richland on paid leave.
Diaz will remain on paid leave until an investigation is completed.
