A former Princeton ISD math teacher accused of sexually assaulting a student has been indicted by a Collin County grand jury.
Matthew Pappas, 31, faces up to life in prison if convicted on charges of continuous sex abuse of a child younger than 14 and aggravated sexual assault of a child.
Pappas was a teacher at Clark Junior High School in Princeton and taught in the children’s ministry in a local church.
Pappas was arrested last May after officers said he twice assaulted a girl under the age of 14 at his home in McKinney.
The victim was a student at a Princeton Elementary School where Pappas taught before moving to the junior high.
