A former Mansfield ISD teacher’s aide and volunteer coach was arrested Friday for an alleged improper relationship between an educator and student and sexual assault of a child.
Kashann Simmons had worked at Timberview High School since Sept. 2011, but was put on administrative leave last week when the district learned about the alleged crimes. Simmons resigned from the district on Tuesday.
Mansfield ISD said in a statement it is cooperating with authorities in the investigation.
