A former Tinley Park High School teacher was again arrested and charged with criminal sexual assault and accused of having sex with a female student, Orland Park police said Thursday.
Orland Park police arrested Ryan Dolan, 29, of Tinley Park, on Wednesday. A Cook County judge set Dolan’s bond at $250,000 during a hearing in Bridgeview, according to a police press release.
Dolan was previously charged with four counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse from a position of trust and two counts of criminal sexual assault of a victim under 18 in Will County after he was arrested by Tinley Park police on March 8.
Orland Park police Lt. Tony Farrell said the latest arrest came after investigating reports that Dolan committed a similar offense with the same student in Orland Park.
The charge of criminal sexual assault includes consideration that Dolan held a position of trust and authority over the alleged victim, Farrell said.
Dolan was a popular teacher who coached three sports, including wrestling, the Tribune previously reported.
Through his attorney, Dolan declined to comment. Bremen High School District 228 officials also declined to comment.
Dolan’s next Cook County court appearance is April 23 and his next Will County hearing is April 24. He is charged in Cook County for the offense committed in Orland Park and Will County for the offenses committed in Tinley Park.
