Waterbury police charged a teacher at Crosby High School on four counts of sexual assault after she turned herself in to police on Saturday afternoon.
Meghan Eagan, 26, of Waterbury, is accused of having a sexual relationship with a male student, according to police.
She is accused of having sex with the male student four times during late December and January.
None of these incidents occurred on school grounds. According to Waterbury police, all of the incidents occurred at Eagan’s home.
She has been placed on administrative leave from her teaching position pending the outcome of the investigation.
Eagan posted $100,000 bond and will appear in court on Feb. 25.
