A woman teacher beaten up a grade one student severely and fractured her left hand here on Tuesday.
According to detail, Mohammad Hanif, a resident of Mauza Ghafoor Waha near Ludan, told The Nation that his daughter Asma was 1st grade student at Government Girls Primary School, Majeedabad. He said that her teacher Fariha Fatima tortured her severely with a stick and left her with a fracture on left hand. He said that when his daughter returned home she was crying. He rushed to nearby health centre where doctors told him that her hand was fractured. At which he approached the Ludan Police for registration of FIR but the police did not lodge a case.
When contacted Police Investigation officer Sub-Inspector Mohammad Islam told The Nation that he was waiting for the MLC report and would register a case against the teacher in the light of the report.
On the other hand, Deputy Superintendent (Education) Musraat Shaheen told this scribe that Deputy Superintendent Bushra Shaheen and Shanaz Kousar were conducting inquiry into the incident and if the teacher was found guilty stern action would be taken against her.
Meanwhile talking to The Nation teacher Fariha denied torture on the girl. She said that the girl was playing in the half time of School when she fell on the ground and suffered a fracture on the left hand.
