A Johnson County Central High School Spanish teacher was taken into custody at the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday for charges of sexual assault and enticement by electronic communications device.
Information was provided to investigators with the Nebraska State Patrol and Johnson County Sheriff’s Office Monday regarding allegations of a sexual relationship between Carrie Miller, 24, and a male student at the school.
Miller was lodged in the Johnson County Jail for the charges.
JCC Superintendent Jack Moles said he could not comment and the county attorney Julie Smith declined to comment until additional court documents are filed.
Johnson County Central High School, located in Tecumseh, serves students in the communities of Tecumseh, Cook, Talmage, Elk Creek, Vesta, Burr and Lorton.
The high school has about 22 staff members. The district serves about 560 students in grades preK-12.
