A former teacher at a Lancashire grammar school has been questioned by police following claims of historical sexual abuse. The man, who is now 75 and from Sabden, taught at Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School in Blackburn.
He was arrested on suspicion of an indecent assault on a boy under the age of 16 at a youth hostel in Slaidburn between 1970 and 1971, police said.
He was also questioned over a second indecent assault against another boy. The second incident is alleged to have taken place at a youth hostel in Cumbria in the early 1970s, police said. The man has been released on police bail until next month.
