A D.C. bilingual school teacher was arrested and charged Monday for sexual abuse of a child, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
Giovanni Pena, 31, of Northwest, D.C., was arrested and charged with second-degree sexual abuse of a child, police said.
Pena is a bilingual teacher at Oyster-Adams Bilingual School located in the 2000 block of 19th Street NW. Police say the Youth Investigations Division received information regarding an allegation of sexual abuse involving a child.
According to the school’s website, Pena is a fourth grade English teacher and started teaching at Oyster-Adams in 2009.
