A Calgary Catholic high school teacher has pleaded guilty to sexual exploitation involving a student.
Jennifer Mason, 30, was charged earlier this year after a member of the public spotted suspicious activity in a vehicle parked in northwest Calgary.
It was alleged she and a teenage male student, who previously attended her school, were in a sexual relationship between August 2012 and November 2013.
Mason was suspended from teaching and charged with sexual assault, invitation to sexual touching, sexual exploitation by a person in a position of trust and sexual interference.
In exchange for pleading guilty to sexual exploitation, the other charges against her were dropped by prosecutors.
Mason has been sentenced to two years in federal prison.
