A Morgan Hill fifth grade teacher was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a student.
According to Morgan Hill Police, 52-year-old John Arthur Loyd of Hollister was arrested for a report of a sexual assault on a female student at Paradise Elementary School.
The girl was allegedly sexually assaulted this month in Loyd’s classroom, while school was in session. Police say she was sexually assaulted on more than one occasion.
Loyd was booked into Santa Clara County Jail on charges of lewd and lascivious acts with a child and annoying or molesting a child.
The school district is notifying parents.
