A Grade 8 Toronto teacher has been charged with sexual assault involving a 13-year-old male student. The Toronto District School Board said the teacher at Hollycrest Middle School on Renforth Dr. has been put on home assignment while the case makes its way through the courts.
“This isn’t a disciplinary action,” said TDSB spokesman Ryan Bird. “When an allegation of a serious nature comes forward that staff member goes home pending the outcome of an investigation.”
