A former Aldine Independent School District middle school teacher is facing felony sexual assault charges after allegedly giving a male student a lap dance in front of the class on his birthday, according to the Harris County District Clerk’s Office.

Felicia A. Smith, 42, who was an eighth-grade teacher at Stovall Middle School, told authorities that her third period class convinced her to perform a sexual dance Feb. 26 on a male student because it was 15th birthday, court records show. The full-contact dance lasted about four minutes and was also recorded on video.

“Smith sat down on his lap and with her buttocks [and] began to move back and forth, the affidavit states. “Smith fondled him with her hands by touching him all over his body. Towards the end of the dance, Smith got on her two knees and placed her head between his legs. [The victim said] he slapped [Smith’s] buttocks a few times.[ The victim] stated Ms. Smith stood him up from the chair and she continued to dance while having her arms wrapped around him. [The victim] said he grabbed [Smith’s] ‘butt area’ giving it a squeeze.

After the dance, Smith allegedly hugged the student and said, “I love you baby, happy birthday.

Smith was booked into Harris County Jail on Thursday. She was released on $30,000 bond.
