A 65-year-old piano teacher has been arrested and charged with sexual interference and sexual assault, police announced Tuesday.
Vancouver police apprehended Yung Ping David Chen after they were contacted regarding allegations of sexual assault. The Richmond Review has learned his alleged victims could include Richmond residents.
Chen taught private piano lessons to students in the basement of his Vancouver home for more than 30 years. In a news release, police believe other students could have been victimized.
Chen was arrested on Dec. 18, 2013, and later released from custody with conditions that include no contact with any person under age 18. Police aren’t releasing further details, pointing to a publication ban shielding the identify of victims.
