A high school teacher in central New Jersey has been charged with sexually assaulting two 16-year-old boys who were her students.

Prosecutors in Middlesex County say 25-year-old Jaclyn Melillo was arrested Thursday on two counts of sexual assault and two counts of child endangerment.

Melillo has been employed as a special education and English teacher at Sayreville High School. Prosecutors say she assaulted the boys individually on multiple occasions this past summer. They would not say where the alleged acts occurred.

Melillo was behind held Friday at the Middlesex County Adult Correction Center in lieu of $200,000 bail.

Authorities say she has been suspended with pay by the Sayreville school board. The prosecutor’s office says it has not yet been contacted by an attorney for Melillo.
