Elco High School teacher faces sexual assault charges after alleged sexual relationship with student

An Elco High School teacher was charged with sexual assault, after he allegedly engaged in a sexual relationship with a student, according to state police.

Kenneth Krause, 44, Eastern Lebanon County High’s band director, is charged with institutional sexual assault/sexual contact with a student, unlawful contact with a minor and corruption of minors.

The alleged victim was between 16 and 17 years old during the sexual relationship, which occurred between August 2012 and June of this year, police said.

The sexual encounters occurred at the school and Krause’s home in Manheim Township in Lancaster County, according to police.

Krause was scheduled to be arraigned Monday afternoon, according to court records. His next court appearance is scheduled for Oct. 3.
