A long-time Toronto music teacher has been arrested in connection with a sexual assault investigation.

Toronto police allege that between 2006 and 2010, 56-year-old Brian Bolliger assaulted a young girl in her home. They also believe there may be more victims.

Bolliger, who has been a music teacher for 30 years in Scarborough, was acquitted of sexual assault and sexual interference last year. In that case, a girl alleged he touched her while giving her drum lessons from ages 6 to 8. Provincial court Justice William Bassel found him not guilty after trial.

Bolliger was once a drummer with True Myth, a progressive rock group formed in London, Ont., which put out two albums in 1979 and 1981.

He appeared in court Friday morning.
