A Dale City man who is a teacher at Leesylvania Elementary School in Woodbridge faces sexual assault charges after police said he attacked a woman in his home on Saturday.

A 28-year-old Arlington woman told police she was with Samuel Harry Schiccatano at his house in the 5600 block of Nibbs Court at 5:52 a.m. when he sexually assaulted her, Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok said.

The victim was able to get away, Perok said.

Schiccatano, 33, of the 5600 block of Nibbs Court, was charged with object sexual penetration, Perok said.

He was held without bond and has a court date of May 30.

Prince William schools spokesman Phil Kavits confirmed Schiccatano is an instructional technology resource teacher at Leesylvania.  He has been placed on administrative leave, Kavits said.

Leesylvania Principal Mark Boyd said the incident was unrelated to the school and its students in a letter sent home with students Monday.
