The school board voted Tuesday night to change the employment status of Francis Weber, 50, to unpaid leave from paid administrative leave, effective immediately.

Weber had been a science teacher at the high school.

Weber was arrested Oct. 6 and was formally charged Wednesday with two counts each of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust, two counts of unlawful sexual contact, sexual exploitation of a child and three counts of illegal possession of wildlife.

He had been on paid administrative leave from the district since Sept. 30.

Weber is free on a $150,000 bail. His next court appearance is Nov. 19.
