An Allentown karate teacher was ordered Wednesday to stand trial for allegedly sexually assaulting an underage student in Bethlehem.
Christopher Calcagni, 51, of the 200 block of East Susquehanna Street, had sex with a then-15-year-old girl over a two-month period in 2012, according to court records.
District Judge Nancy Matos Gonzalez ordered Calcagni to stand trial in Northampton County Court on charges of statutory sexual assault, indecent assault, corruption of a minor and endangering the welfare of a child.
The victim and Calcagni knew each other, court papers say.
He remained Wednesday in Northampton County Prison in lieu of 10 percent of $100,000 bail.
