A split ruling was made Thursday on sex-related charges against Ritchie County High School teacher David P. Weekley.
Weekley was arrested twice by State Police last month for allegedly committing sex crimes with students. Charges in one case were dismissed by the magistrate during a preliminary hearing Thursday. Charges in the second case were forwarded on to the June grand jury.
Weekley is listed on the Ritchie County Board of Education website as a teacher in special education.
He was originally charged with second degree sexual assault, first degree sexual abuse and two counts of sexual abuse by a parent/custodian.
This case remains under investigation.
