A former Moline teacher has been arrested for a sexual assault police say happened at a school. Henry Pawlus was a teacher at Wilson Middle School in January 2010 at the time of the assault.
He has since retired. Police say the 66 year old assaulted a 13 year old student. After a four month investigation Moline police sent the case on to the Rock Island County State’s Attorney, who issued a warrant for Pawlus’ arrest.
Pawlus is charged with Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse and Criminal Sexual Assault. He is currently in the Rock Island County Jail on a $150,000 bond.
