Albemarle Police say 47-year-old Charlottesville resident Charles Farrell Long, Jr. has been arrested on child pornography charges.
Police say Long (pictured) is a former Albemarle police officer and was once a reserve deputy with the county sheriff’s office, and a former teacher in the City of Charlottesville public schools. Long was most recently a volunteer with the Albemarle public schools. Long is charged with two counts of possession of child pornography and two counts of production of these items. Long is scheduled to appear in Albemarle Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court at 1:30 p.m. Monday.
