A Bloomfield man, a former Montville teacher, was arrested a second time in a week, charged with sexual assault of a child, authorities said.

Authorities said the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Sex Crimes Unit and the Montville Township Police Department arrested Jason Bryan Fennes, 37, at 8:30 p.m. Friday at a Cranford home.

He was charged with aggravated sexual assault in the first degree, sexual assault in the second degree, and endangering the welfare of a child in the second degree. A judge set his bail at $300,000 with no 10 percent option. He was being held in the Morris County Correctional Facility.

Police did not release additional details on Fennes’ first or second arrest, other than to say bail was made on his first arrest. His attorney Julian Wilsey could not be reached for comment.

Prosecutor Robert A. Bianchi is asking anyone with information contact the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Sex Crimes Unit at 973-285-6200, Montville Police Department at 973-257-4300 or the Morris County Crime Stopper Program at 973-COPCALL.
